Lives of Great Men: the award-winning memoir at the Africa Writes Conference

The Festival Comms team is proud to bring you our third and final book promo of Lives of Great Men by Chiké Frankie Edozien; you can learn about how the book was written & its reception in our previous two blogs.

The groundbreaking & now award-winning memoir by Chiké Frankie Edozien.

Edozien and Lives of Great Men will be featured at this year’s Africa Writes Conference at the British Library. For those who don’t know, the conference is in its 7th year, organised by the Royal African Society in association with the British Library. Lives of Great Men and Edozien will have their own featured panel on the Sunday; this presents a fantastic opportunity to learn about the memoir and meet the man himself (as well as all of the other fantastic presenters and attendees). Perhaps making the opportunity all the more exciting is the recent LAMDA Literary Award for Gay Memoir presented to Edozien for his achievement — Lives of Great Men is now the award-winning, groundbreaking memoir depicting homosexuality in Africa.

For those interested and in the area, the event runs Friday June 29 – Sunday July 1, and you can find the programme here.

Chiké Frankie Edozien currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at New York University (NYC,  USA), as well as the Director of Reporting Africa.
